The essentials

Everything you need for a smooth, soulful stay

From check-in to checkout, WiFi to parking, and the door codes — all of it lives below. Save this page and screenshot what matters. For anything during your stay, message your hosts (Michelle & Justin) through your booking platform — that's the fastest way to reach us. For checkout coordination, text our cleaner Michelle at (615) 290-0964 when you're leaving — see the Checkout section for details. (Yes, two Michelles: one of your hosts and our cleaner. The (615) 290-0964 number is the cleaner — only text her when departing.)

Self check-in · 4:00 PM

Access codes

Both doors open with a personalized smart-lock code sent the morning of check-in. Please don't arrive before 4:00 PM — the housekeepers need the buffer to flip the unit.

Unit 307 Door

From inside, turn thumb-turn to lock

Your access code drops to your phone the morning of check-in. If anything feels off in the first 4 hours — broken, missing, wrong code — message your hosts (Michelle & Justin) through your booking platform and we'll sort it.

WiFi

High-speed, two networks

In-Unit · use this one
SOULTRAIN
Password: Muse307!
Building lobby
MUSE-GUEST
Password: Museguest

Every bedroom + the living room has a Smart TV — sign into your own Netflix / Hulu / Disney+ / HBO / YouTube account on the SOULTRAIN network. The TVs are also the easiest way to play music from your phone (cast from your streaming app of choice — see The Condo section for the note about audio).

Parking

Two options

$0
Free weekend street parking On Lindsley Avenue in front of the building. Free Saturday and Sunday.
$25
Covered garage Under the building. $25/day, paid via QR code in the unit. Use this if you'd rather lock the car up.
⚠ Nashville petty-theft note Strip every car of every visible valuable, no matter where you park. The city has a real break-in problem — we'd rather you know up front.
Laundry

Coin-operated, in the building

The building has a paid laundry room — quarters only. There is no in-unit washer/dryer. If you plan to wash anything during your stay, bring quarters or stop at a CVS / gas station to break a bill. There's no in-building change machine we can rely on.

Long weekends and concert trips usually don't need laundry. For 5+ night stays, plan ahead.

Trash

A three-step route

  1. Right out of unit 307
  2. Right at the end of the hall
  3. The trash door is direct on the right

All trash + recycling + compost go in the building trash room. Bags are in the cabinet under the sink.

The condo

What you're walking into

Open-plan living and kitchen with disco ball, guitar wall, and balcony

🎵 The vintage record player

The turntable on the credenza in the living room is real and works. Drop the needle gently, lift it the same way. The curated vinyl collection lives in the credenza and is yours to spin all weekend. This is the only in-unit audio source — there is no Bluetooth speaker. For phone music, cast to any of the Smart TVs from your streaming app.

🎹 The upright piano

The orange upright piano in the entry/foyer is real and yours to play — during the day. Quiet hours kick in at 9:00 PM (building rule). The keys go quiet then, the vinyl can still spin.

✨ The "Hop on the Soul Train" neon

The kitschy neon sign at the front door turns on with the wall lever to the right of the entry. It's the best photo wall in the condo and the most ownable backdrop on Rolling Mill Hill — none of the comp set has anything like it.

📺 Smart TVs in every room

Living room + all three bedrooms. Sign into your streaming accounts on the SOULTRAIN network. They double as Bluetooth-cast targets for music from your phone.

🪞 Mirrors everywhere — built for getting ready

The condo is set up so six people can get show-ready at the same time. You'll find: a Hollywood-style lighted vanity station (full table + clothing rack + ring of bulbs), full-length mirrors in every bedroom, and double-vanity mirrors in both bathrooms. Pair them with the two hairdryers under the second-bath vanity and nobody waits on a single mirror.

🍳 The kitchen, fully equipped

Stainless appliances (stove, oven, microwave, double-door fridge with ice, full-size dishwasher), coffee maker, toaster, blender, full pots-and-pans set, dinnerware and glassware for ten. Kitchen island seats six. Starter coffee is on the counter — bring your own bag from Crema if you're a coffee person.

Where you'll sleep

Three bedrooms · Six beds · Sleeps 10

King master bedroom

Bedroom 1

King Master Suite
1 King bed · Ensuite bath · Smart TV · Lighted vanity · Premium linens · White-noise machine. The quietest room — concrete walls do their work.
Queen bedroom with balcony access

Bedroom 2

Queen Balcony Suite
1 Queen bed · Private balcony access · Smart TV · Lighted vanity. Carry your morning coffee straight out to the downtown skyline.
Green bunk room with Queen-over-Queen and trundle

Bedroom 3

Soul Train Bunk Room
Queen-over-Queen bunk + Queen trundle · Smart TV · White-noise machine. Sleeps six when needed — trundle's best for one adult or two kids.
Honest note on the trundle Two full-grown adults on the Queen trundle is doable but tight — best as a kid/teen bed. Calling it out so nobody's surprised on night one.
Bathrooms

Two full baths · Stocked + photogenic

Master bathroom with lips art and walk-in shower

Master bath

Walk-in marble shower · double vanity · the lipsticked-mouth painting (yes, it's part of the deal).
Second bathroom with two hairdryers stocked

Second bath

Double vanity · two hairdryers · towel-stocked. Splits the pre-Broadway rush when six people need to be ready by seven.

Stocked: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, toilet paper, plenty of towels, two hairdryers.

House Rules

Three building rules we genuinely can't override

The building HOA imposes these and fines the host directly — which gets passed to your booking. Everything else is on us; these three are not.

Quiet hours: 9:00 PM – 8:00 AM

Building rule — $500 fine for any noise complaint after 9 PM. The piano goes quiet at 9; daytime music + the turntable + conversation work fine. Concrete walls + white-noise machines in every bedroom do most of the work.

No smoking anywhere in the complex

No cigarettes, vapes, cannabis, incense, e-cigs. Inside, hallways, balcony, rooftop, sidewalk-adjacent. Building cameras catch it, HOA fines $500 per incident. Nearest legal spot is the public sidewalk on Lindsley Avenue.

No unauthorized guests · no pets · no parties

Up to 10 sleeping (the reservation count). Day visitors fine for a few hours. No pets (service animals welcome with prior notice). Bachelor/bachelorette parties with non-staying guests need pre-approval.

A few other things

Don't rearrange the furniture

Every piece has a placement that works. Reset fee is $150 if anything's moved.

Tape: blue painter's only

No clear tape, no thumbtacks, no command strips, no glitter, no confetti, no rose petals.

Real instruments, not props

The turntable, the vinyl, the piano, the wall-mounted guitars — all real, all stay where they are. Play freely; treat them gently.

Plumbing: only TP + human waste in the toilets

No wipes (none are actually flushable), no feminine products, no paper towels.

GFCI reset for bathroom outlets

If a bathroom outlet stops working, press the small "reset" button on any GFCI plug. It's almost always the fix.

Damage waiver: tell us BEFORE checkout

$3,000 damage waiver is included with every booking — covers accidental scratches, spills, broken glasses. Tell us before you leave and we sort it.

Checkout · 11:00 AM

Six quick steps before you go

  1. Dishes — place dirty dishes in the dishwasher and start it.
  2. Fridge + pantry — empty perishables you're not taking home.
  3. Towels — pile dirty towels on the bathroom floor.
  4. Thermostat — 78°F in summer, 60°F in winter.
  5. Trash — take everything to the building trash room (right, right, right).
  6. Lock up — all windows + doors. Then text our cleaner Michelle at (615) 290-0964 when you're heading out so she can start cleaning. If you're leaving early (before 11 AM), text her sooner — every extra hour helps her stay on schedule for the next guest.
Heads up — two Michelles Yes, one of your hosts is also named Michelle. The (615) 290-0964 number is our cleaner Michelle (a different person), not your host. Only text the cleaner number when you're leaving — for anything during your stay, message your hosts Michelle & Justin through your booking platform.
Forgotten items Check under beds + in bathroom drawers + on the kitchen island before walking out. Forgotten-item ship-back: $25 service fee plus actual postage.

Who's who

Your hosts & your cleaner

Heads up: there are two Michelles in your stay — one of your hosts and our cleaner (different people who share a first name). Reach out to each of them in different situations, as described below.

Your hosts · Michelle & Justin

We run this place like a friend's crash pad, not a hotel. You'll never see us during your stay unless you want to — but we're a message away through your booking platform if anything comes up. Justin signs the messages so it's clear which Michelle is writing (because, again — there are two of us with that name in this stay).

Best way to reach us during your stay: the messaging thread inside your Airbnb / VRBO / OwnerRez booking. Reply is fast; answer is almost always "yes — go for it."

Your cleaner · Michelle · (615) 290-0964

A different Michelle — our cleaner, who handles every turnover at Soul Train Nashville. Text her at (615) 290-0964 when you're leaving (or if you're leaving early so she can get a head start) — that's the only text you need to send her. For anything else during your stay, message Michelle & Justin through your booking platform instead.
